Boston (DbTechNo) – Sales of the new Palm Pre seem to be going as expected as more than 300,000 units have been sold so far.
Many insiders thought that because of the new iPhone dominating all the buzz that sales of the Palm would be effected.
Apple is having sweeter success however after launching their new iPhone, with an estimated 800,000 units shipped so far.
According to a leading analyst: “Over time, we still think the smartphone game is becoming a platform play, and Apple, RIM, and even Google have huge leads over Pre as development platforms.”
He went on to say that Palm was producing 15,000 units daily and having a hard time keeping up with demand.
With strong sales in the month of June, many wonder if the trend will continue in the months to come.
