Boston (DbTechNo) – After a 16 day mission including 5 spacewalks, the space shuttle Endeavour returned to earth today.

The shuttle landed on time without incident at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

The craft landed on runway 15 at exactly 10:48 a.m. Eastern time bringing back 7 astronauts, including a Japanese man who had been on the ISS for the previous 5 months.

The mission to the International Space Center was to bring equipment that was needed, and to repair certain little bugs on the mamoth structure.

“Welcome home. Congratulations on a superb mission from beginning to end,” astronaut Alan Poindexter radioed from mission control in Houston. “Very well done.”

“Well, thanks to you and the whole team,” replied mission commander, Mark Polansky. “That’s what it’s all about. We’re happy to be home.”
