Safeway Recalls Ground Beef Over Salmonella Fears

A massive ground beef recall has been announced by Safeway due to contamination with salmonella
Boston (DbTechNo) – A massive ground beef recall has been announced by Safeway due to contamination with salmonella.

The recall covers the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, South Dakota and Wyoming.

In total, more than 826,000 is being recalled as it is feared to be contaminated with salmonella bacteria.

The ground beef in question was sold between the dates of June 6 and July 14 and was originally produced by Beef Packers Inc.

Being recalled is raw ground beef, ground beef patties and fresh meatloaf.

Any consumer who has purchased any of the effected ground beef is being urged to throw it away or return it to place of purchase.

Salmonella poisoning results in symptoms including; heavy diarrhea, vomiting, and stomach cramps.
