Spotify Music Service Coming to Android, Iphone Users

Those people with either iPhones or mobiles running Google Android can now take advantage of Spotify, a free music streaming service
Boston (DbTechNo) – Those people with either iPhones or mobiles running Google Android can now take advantage of Spotify, a free music streaming service.

This gives consumers access to more than 4 million music tracks and the ability to even play tracks when they are not on the internet with their phones.

Up until now, the service has been only available to computer users and has been free, a fact that will change with the mobile streaming service.

Phone users wanting to take advantage of Spotify will have to pay a subscription fee but will be able to download the app for free.

“This is a hugely significant day in Spotify’s short history,” said Gustav Söderström, director of portable solutions at Spotify. “Since our launch last October, we’ve worked hard to provide our users with a high quality service that gives them access to whatever music they want, whenever they want it.”

Right now the service is only available in Europe and has more than 6 million subscribers.
