Boston (DbTechNo) – It is being reported that Intel microprocessors will be getting a boost as the company have come out with a new line of computer systems and motherboards.
They made their announcement in Taipei, showing off their new line of internal hardware aimed at speeding up computers and servers alike.
The majority of upgrades rolled out by the company are targeted at desktop computers, improving speed, memory and graphical capability.
They have launched as many as 3 new quad-core processors as well as unvailing new Xeon 3400 series processors for low-costing servers.
Intel have also made some big changes to their chipsets when it comes to desktop computers, going from a pair of 2 per machine, down to 1.
These chips are vital to the workings of a computer, as they control the flow of data from the microprocessor
to other parts of the machine.
By converting to the P55 Express chipset It is possible to use only 1 chip putting an increased workload on the actual microprocessors being used in the machine.
