Boston (DbTechNo) – Today Lenovo have announced they are coming out with a couple of new touchscreen laptops, including one which will be able to support four-finger multitouch input.
This is great news for the company, who have been lagging behind when it comes to their laptop sales thanks to hard charging Apple.
Lenovo’s ThinkPad T400s, will stand above most other laptops on the market, because most others currently being sold only support two-finger touch input.
The laptop will not come cheap however, costing $1,999 US.
It comes with Intel Core 2 Duo processors, 250GB of storage space and 4GB RAM.
The company states that by developing the 4 finger input option, engineers and designers could benefit from it because they will be able to have better ability to manipulate graphics.
“It provides a faster, more natural, and easier way to use their [PC] instead of using the keyboard or bezel buttons,” said Mika Majapuro, worldwide ThinkPad product marketing manager.
The company says that the ThinkPad will be available to buy at the end of September.
