Twitter Valued at One Billion Dollars

Boston (DbTechNo) – The social marketing web site Twitter.com has only been around for a few years but is already one of the most valuable on the internet when it comes to how much it is worth.

Twitter allows users to post up to 140 character messages on their page, updating their status, and leaving quick notes for followers.

How much would you pay for the microblogging site? How about 1 billion bucks?

Twitter is a relatively small company to operate, having few employees, and few overhead expenses, a fact that definitely attributes to its financial worth.

You may not think a site like Twitter is worth a cool billion, but seven venture capital firms beg to differ.

Massive companies have incorperated Twitter into their marketing schemes, and with Twitter opening up their site to advertising, this only enhances their service.

Personally I do not use Twitter or even like the service for that matter, mainly because it is all people talk about and I find it rather annoying.
