Boston (DbTechNo) – It is being reported that Twitter is in talks with Microsoft and Google about data sharing.
Twitter has the ability to provide real-time search results and if they have their way they could soon be posting those results in major search engines.
Twitter is the newest fad when it comes to social marketing, as the platform allows people to post 140 character updates on their pages about anything and everything from asking a loved one to stop at the store on the way home, to announcing mergers of Fortune 500 companies.
If such a data deal was reached between search engines and Twitter, it would allow for Twitter to provide a full search feed to search engines, as they look for a way to monitize their millions of users.
One good thing about Twitter is that although they are in talks with Google and Microsoft, they are definitely not planning to merge or do anything silly as far as that is concerned, as they have already stressed their intent to remain their own independent company.
