Sanford Wallace must pay Facebook more than 700 Million Dollars

Internet marketer Sanford Wallace will be forced to pay Facebook more than 700 million dollars after the giant social networking company won a lawsuit filed against him
Boston (DbTechNo) – Internet marketer Sanford Wallace will be forced to pay Facebook more than 700 million dollars after the giant social networking company won a lawsuit filed against him.

Facebook sued Wallace after they learned that he sent thousands of spammy messages to the inboxes of Facebook users, illegally accessing their accounts and sending posts to other users.

This is not the first time that Wallace has been on the losing end of a lawsuit, as he also lost a suit filed against him by MySpace last year to the tune of 230 million bucks.

“While we don’t expect to receive the vast majority of the award, we hope that this will act as a continued deterrent against these criminals,” said Sam O’Rourke, associate general counsel for Facebook, in a blog posting Thursday. “This is another important victory in our fight against spam.”

Will this judgement against Wallace deter him from spamming in the future?
