Boston (DbTechNo) – It is being reported that Google is back in the buying game, as they have just purchased AdMob.
AdMob is one of the largest Mobile advertising networks in the world, and comes with a hefty price tag.
Google will pay $750 million for the company, reportedly, their 3rd largest purchase in their history.
Google will pay the entire amount for the company in stocks, and will now have considerable leverage in a rapidly growing market when it comes to mobile marketing.
“We expect this will accelerate our growth in this space,” said Google Vice President of Corporate Development David Lawee.
Their other major purchases include DoubleClick for $3.1 billion and the acquisition of YouTube for $1.65 billion.
