Twitter, Facebook coming to Xbox Live

Boston (DbTechNo) – Coming next week is an update to Xbox Live, that will see Twitter, Facebook and Last.fm added to dashboard.

Beginning Tuesday November 17, the new firmware will be available for download onto your Xbox, by owners of Xbox Live Gold memberships only.

Furthermore, users of the Twitter and Facebook features must be at least 18 years of age.

Xbox Live Gold, for those who do not have a subscription is only $50 a year, and personally I fell that the price is well worth it.

People who subscribe, will be able to send messages via Twitter and Facebook, and listen to music from Last.fm.

“We’ve already seen a tremendous response to these features in our public preview,” said Xbox Live general manager Marc Whitten.
