During its first 5 days of release, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has sold more than 500000000 units
Boston (DbTechNo) – During its first 5 days of release, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has sold more than 500000000 units.

The game is a first shooter action thriller with the gamer in the role of an elite soldier shooting enemies from an array of different countries.

The game is very popular with the younger generation, and stores are having a hard time keeping their shelves stocked.

This is by far and away a record for video game sales, making game maker Activision very pleased with early results.

Activision is still cautious of the economy and is optimistic that sales will continue to boomb.

“Despite the success of ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2′, Activision Blizzard remains cautious about the U.S. and global economy as well as other variables
that can affect industry fundamentals and our own performance, including consumer spending which remains a significant concern,” said chief executive of Activision, Bobby Kotick.

How bout you? Did you rush out to pick up Modern Warfare 2?
