Boston (DbTechNo) – It is being reported that Apple have just purchased lala.com, an online music web site.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but one can guess the acquisition was not a cheap one for Apple.
This is a great move for Apple as they are already the owners of a download store featuring millions of songs and other video content.
Lala.com gives users the opportunity to purchase the rights to listen to songs online as many times as they wish for only 10 cents a song.
It would make sence to think that Apple will somehow incorperate Lala.com into their iTunes store, but we will just have to wait and see if this is the direction Apple plans to take here.
Another possible avenue of interest for Apple could be to just do nothing, running Lala.com as its own web site, thus keeping its fan base active.
