Google Producing Own Cellphone, to Launch Next Year

Boston (DbTechNo) – Search engine giant Google.com have announced plans to jump head first in to the cellphone market.

They do not plan on wasting any time with this new venture, stating that their new phones will be available by next year.

The phone, dubbed Nexus One will be manufactured by HTC and will run Google’s Android operating system.

The phones are currently being distributed to Google employees for testing, but pics have leaked onto the internet, varifying the rumor.

One Googler tweeted about her new phone, leading to a slew of activity around the blogasphere regarding the phone in question.

“ZOMG we had fireworks and we all got the new Google phone. It’s beautiful,” wrote Leslie Hawthorn, a program manager on Google’s open source team.

Google will reportedly be only selling their phone online, and once purchased, the consumer can shop around for their own mobile plan.
