Vicks DayQuil Being Recalled Due to Packaging Concerns

The medicine Vicks DayQuil is the subject of a recall because of safety issues with packaging
Boston (DbTechNo) – The medicine Vicks DayQuil is the subject of a recall because of safety issues with packaging.

Procter & Gamble are recalling up to 700,000 packs of the DayQuil capsules because the packages are not childproof.

The labels on the box do state that the packaging is childproof but it is actually not, thus the recall was announced.

A spokeswoman for Procter & Gamble states that the product of interest was distributed across the country between September 2008 and February 2009.

Lots of effected products were also shipped out in September and December this year.

The product being recalled is the DayQuil Cold & Flu 24-Count LiquiCaps Bonus Pack and no other forms of the medication are being recalled.

Consumers can easily identify the type of DayQuil being recalled by the yellow flag in the top-right corner of the package.

So far the company have not received any reports of children managing to gain access to the drug, used to suppress cold symptoms.
