2011 Ford Mustang Will Have a Sooped Up Engine

Those fans of the popular Mustang will be happy to know that the 2011 model will come with an option to upgrade the engine
Boston (DbTechNo) – Those fans of the popular Mustang will be happy to know that the 2011 model will come with an option to upgrade the engine.

Ford announced that the 2011 models will come with an option to upgrade to a more powerful motor, a 5.0-liter engine.

They will be unveiling the 2011 model at next month’s auto show in Detroit and have not yet put a price tag on it.

The new V-8 5.0-liter engine will give the Mustang that extra boost in performance, coming with more than 412 horsepower.

The current Mustang engine, a 4.6-liter V-8 only has 406 horses under the hood, not bad, but failing to compare to rival GM’s 426 hoursepower engine in their Camaro.

“This is the next salvo in the Mustang-Camaro war that’s been going on for 42 years,” said John Wolkonowicz, an auto analyst at IHS Global Insight in Lexington, Massachusetts. “Ford needed to do this.”
