Boston (DbTechNo) – Those movie watchers who own a Nintendo WII will be pleased to hear that Netflix will be coming to the devices in the near future.

Through the service, Wii users will be able to stream movies and television shows, adding a new demention to the WII that is already available for Xbox users.

“Our goal is to offer Netflix members as many ways as possible to watch movies and TV episodes streamed from Netflix right to their TVs and to give non-members more and compelling reasons to consider the service,” says Netflix co-founder and CEO Reed Hastings in a statement. “Joining forces with Nintendo, which has been so immensely popular with consumers since its introduction, is a very meaningful step in that direction.”

The service will be available some time this spring and is available to Netflix users with a standard broadband internet connection.

The WII is the best selling gaming console in the world, and now that gamers have the ability to watch actual movies on the devices, they will surely continue to hit it big.
