Nexus One Owners Could Be On Hook For Serious Cash

Consumers who choose to purchase the Nexus One, Google's new smartphone need to know that the phone does come with a few strings attached
Boston (DbTechNo) – Consumers who choose to purchase the Nexus One, Google’s new smartphone need to know that the phone does come with a few strings attached.

The smartphone announced last week by the big G, runs the Android operating system and is expected to be a huge revenue boost for the company.

In its first week of sales, more than 20,000 units have been sold, a number that indicates the vast interest surrounding the smartphone.

Those looking to get their hands on a Nexus One phone should know that they could be on the hook for some serious cash if they opt to return the phone after a 2-week grace period.

According to Google, a “equipment recovery fee” of 350 bucks will be charged to anybody who returns the phone after the 2 week grace period is up, but before a 120 day period following the purchase.

If this is not bad enough, those customers who opt to go with T-Mobile USA will also be hit with a 200 dollar charge for early termination of a 2-year contract.

Those who wish to purchase the Nexus One without a contract, can also do so for a price of 529 dollars.
