Boston (DbTechNo) – Google have joined forces with GeoEye to provide satellite imagery of the devistation caused by the recent earthquake in Haiti.

The massive quake has left an estimated 50,000 residents of Haiti dead, and more than 3 million people without a home.

It is feared that more than 100,000 people maybe dead, and just yesterday, the Brazilian army performed a mass berrial of more than 7,000 bodies.

The majority of the country’s infrastructure is in ruins, with thousands of people trapped beneath rubble with no way out.

The images being provided by Google on Google Maps and Google Earth will allow Aid organizations to survey the country to see which areas are in the most need of their support.

Aid from countries from around the world is pouring into the country, but because of severe damage to ports and airfields, getting to the people who need the most help is not easy.

The FBI is already warning people who want to donate financially to the relief effort to be aware of email fishing scams from fake charities.
