A massive salami recall has been initiated in the United States over fear of salmonella poisoning
Boston (DbTechNo) – A massive salami recall has been initiated in the United States over fear of salmonella poisoning.

Daniele Inc is the company behind the recall, one which is for more than 1.2 million pounds of potential contaminated meat product.

An ingredient in the meat, black pepper may be the source of the salmonella concern, thus the company is not taking any chances and recalling all products containing black pepper.

Some people have already fallen sick after eating the contaminated salami, but no hospitalizations have been reported yet.

People who contract salmonella poisoning experience vomiting, cramps in the stomach, fatigue and diarrhea.

18 products are being recalled, including All Natural Salame coated with coarse black pepper sold under the Daniele and Boar’s Head brand names.

We will continue to post updates to this story as more information becomes available.
