Endeavour Space Shuttle Grounded by Bad Weather

Bad weather has delayed the launch of the Endeavour space shuttle only nine minutes before blast off
Boston (DbTechNo) – Bad weather has delayed the launch of the Endeavour space shuttle only nine minutes before blast off.

The shuttle was scheduled for an early AM blast off this morning but due to cloudy weather the launch was postponed.

There was an 80% chance of good weather but an unfavorable weather pattern formed and moved into the area thus making the launch too risky.

“Sometimes you just got to make the call,” said shuttle commander George Zamka. “We understand and we’ll give it another try tomorrow night.”

“We tried really, really hard to work the weather. It was just too dynamic,” launch director Mike Leinbach said

“We just were not comfortable with launching a space shuttle tonight.”

The shuttle has the mission of carrying parts to be installed onto the International Space Station including an extra bathroom.

NASA will try for an early morning launch tomorrow, and if Monday does not work out, they will have to wait until next Saturday.
