Boston (DbTechNo) – Sergey Brin, a Google co-founder has stated that he would like to find a way for the search engine and China to get along.
Speaking at the TED Conference in Long Beach, Brin stated that he was optimistic that Google and China can work together to provide the best user experience for internet users.
China has been at war with Google as of late, recently banning YouTube from the country, and launching clever hack attacks against the global search engine powerhouse.
Back in 2006, Google launched a filtered version of Google.cn, a fact which did not go over well with the powers that be in China.
Brin still thinks that one day sensoring search results in China will be a thing of the past.
“A lot of people think I’m naive, and that may be true, but I wouldn’t have started a search engine if I wasn’t naive,” he stated.
“I want to find a way to work within the Chinese system to bring information to the people,” he added.
