Kneber botnet Infecting Thousands of Computers

Boston (DbTechNo) – A powerful Kneber botnet is sweeping across the world infecting hundreds of thousands of computers.

This is a new type of malware which has never been seen by computer scientists and is doing damage of a severe nature.

It is only able to infect computers running the Windows operating system, and has been around for more than a year.

The virus is quite crafty and once it infects a computer is able to steal password and log-in data for any secure web site visited by the computer user.

It has been identified in as many as 196 countries worldwide, and is very hard to detect meaning that it is hard to remove from PCs.

Computer experts urge people to be very savvy when browsing the internet, to avoid the likelyhood of unintentionally letting the virus have access to your own computer.

They advise computer users to not open suspicious emails, and to avoid clicking on links that they do not recognize as leading to reputable web addresses.
