Sony’s PlayStation Network Crashes to Earth

Thousands of video game addicts were left high and dry beginning last night as Sony's PlayStation Network went down
Thousands of video game addicts were left high and dry beginning last night as Sony’s PlayStation Network went down.

So far it appears that the problems only impact users who own original pre-”slim” model PS3s, meaning that there are estimated millions of users affected.

Sony are aware of the problem they say, and are looking into what went wrong.

Upon loading certain games, or trying to access the network one receives the following: “Registration of the trophy information could not be completed. The game will quit. (8001050F)”

As you may gather, this problem is not sitting well with subscribers, and many have taken to the internet to voice their displeasure.

Sony released a statement via their Twitter channel yesterday, stating that their engineers are working on the problem.

“We’re narrowing down the issue and continue to work to restore service to all. Updates as soon as we have them,” the company said on its @SonyPlayStation Twitter channel.
