Google Buys Photo Editing Web Site Picnik

Internet search engine giant Google have purchased a photo editing site for an undisclosed dollar amount
Internet search engine giant Google have purchased a photo editing site for an undisclosed dollar amount.

Picnik, has been around for the last five years now and according to their web site, they have up to 20 employees.

The service allows people to edit pics directly from their web browser, thus eliminating the need to use editing programs.

Back in October, Google chief executive Eric Schmidt stated that Google would be purchasing one small company each and every month, as it continues to strengthen its hold on the internet.

Since September of 2009, Google have been very busy in the marketplace, purchasing eight different companies.
