Google is once again making noise in the purchasing arena as they have just acquired a video web site.
They have paid an undisclosed dollar amount for start up Episodic which is a site providing a platform for streaming live video on the internet.
Episodic is based out of San Francisco and was founded by Noam Lovinsky and Matias Cudich.
The site statement describes it as a “comprehensive platform for broadcasting live and on-demand video.”
Google continues to make good on their earlier statement of wanting to purchase one company each month and will more than likely tie this new site into their YouTube video sharing service.
This is the 5th purchase for Google this year, putting them ahead of their one company a month acquisition goal.
