Google Buys SocialDeck

Google have just acquired their fifth company this month, snapping up mobile game maker SocialDeck.

Financial terms of the deal were not released, and Google themselves are yet to confirm that they bought the company.

SocialDeck was founded in 2008 and has offices in Toronto and San Francisco.

During their short life, they have developed games for the popular iPhone, Blackberry and even Facebook.

“Big news. We’re super excited to announce that someone found our social games as fun as you have — in this case, that ‘someone’ is Google,” SocialDeck said. “SocialDeck has been acquired and we’ve joined the Google team.”

Other companies that Google have bought this month alone, are Slide, Jambool and Angstro.
