MLK Stripper Flyer Creates An Uproar (PHOTO)

A strip club in Miami is getting flack for flyers they used to promote a party. The flyers used Dr. Martin Luther King’s image to advertise and promote the party. In the flyer, Dr. King is depicted holding hundred dollar bills. The flyer also shows Dr. King’s image standing next to a stripper.

The flyer was created to promote a party the club was having on Dr. King’s birthday. The flyer’s creator, Jeffry Darnell, says that he was not trying to be controversial. He also said that he was surprised that his flyer got so much attention.

According to reports, Darnell also said that it was not his intention to disrespect Dr. King. For most people, Darnell’s statement is hard to believe because it is very difficult for them to imagine that he would not think a flyer of this nature would not be offensive.

According to the club owner, the party was canceled.
