SOPA and PIPA: Where Do You Stand?

The newest twitter trend that everyone is talking about is #factswithoutwikipedia. This trend has been sparked due to the fact that Wikipedia has shut down in order to protest the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and Protect IP Act (PIPA).

These two acts are efforts to stop copyright infringements by foreign sites. Many believe that this is also infringing free expression while also affecting the internet negatively.

Other websites are also taking a stand against SOPA and PIPA. Only the future holds what will happen concerning these acts. They may be passed and they may not. Either way, our internet experience is being affected.
