On June 29, 2012, Lexus announced that it would be recalling around 154,000 2010 RX350 and RX450h SUVs. This recall expands previous recalls that were related to floor mats that trapped accelerators and caused the vehicles to speed up without warning.
The previous recalls began in 2009, and Toyota has recalled more than 14 million vehicles across several models. Lexus announced that the current recall notices would be sent via first class mail sometime in early August. Like other recalls from auto makers, owners of the vehicles in question will be able to get their vehicles repaired without cost.
