Who would have thought that Gabby Douglas would soar ahead of her colleagues and clinch the lone spot on the 2012 Olympic Gymnastics Team? Known as the underdog, but her Olympic-sized drive brought her to success Sunday night.
As the Olympic trials continued, she moved ahead of the U.S. Champion Jordyn Wieber. In the last rotation, Gabby tumbled a giganctic, life-sized performance on the floor exercise. She only needed 15.25 or better to grab hold of the title as the Olympic Trial Winner. Gabby did just that with a score of 15.30 edging out Wieber for the top winner’s spot.
