Katy Perry Tops Forbes List

According to the annual rankings by Forbes, Katy Perry is 2015’s highest-earning woman in music.

The ‘Roar’ singer made  million this year, after grossing more than $2 million per city during 126 shows on the Prismatic World Tour, Forbes reports. She also profited from contracts with the beauty companies Covergirl and Coty and the fashion retailer Claire’s.

“I am proud of my position as a boss, as a person that runs my own company,” Perry told the magazine. “I’m an entrepreneur … I don’t want to shy away from it. I actually want to kind of grab it by its balls.”

Taylor Swift, who’s had a rivalry with Katy, came in second but way behind Katy with $80 million.

Fleetwood Mac came in 3rd with nearly $59.5 mil.

Lada Gaga and Beyonce rounded out the top five with $59 million and $54.5 million, respectively. Gaga played 66 shows and also cashed in from deals with Versace and MAC while Beyonce’s On the Run tour with husband Jay Z grossed over $100 million in 19 dates. The rest of the top 10 includes Britney Spears ($31 million), Jennifer Lopez ($28.5 million), Miranda Lambert ($28.5 million), Mariah Carey ($27 million) and Rihanna ($26 million).
