To help the US celebrate July 4th, North Korea test-fired a ballistic missile into the Sea of Japan. The US has confirmed the launch and have also stated that with a non-identical flight path North Korea is now able to target and send the missile as far as Alaska.

North Korea’s state media said the launch was ordered and supervised by leader Kim Jong Un and sent the Hwasong-14 933 km (580 miles), reaching an altitude of 2,802 km (1,741 miles) over a flight time of 39 minutes. Read More
