Next week, Marks & Spencer stores are set to debut a new fruit in the United Kingdom.
The crossbred fruit has the skin and texture of a pear but the taste of an apple.
The New Zealand grown hybrid’s official name is T109.

Mark & Spencer fruit expert, Shazad Rehman is quoted as saying, “This is one of the most exciting new varieties of fruit we have seen for several years”.
This sounds like an excellent and healthy solution for anyone who thinks that the skin of an apple is too hard.
Fiber, antioxidents and other vaulable nutrition is lost when apple skins are peeled away or discarded.
Marks & Spencer will begin growing ‘the apple a day’ alternative fruit in 2015.
