How Much For A Piece of History?

The 2012 Summer Olympics are only a few weeks away, and fans are already eager for news and memorabilia from this historic event.

One anonymous buyer has snapped up an Olympic Torch for over £150,000 ($238,000) on eBay. Proceeds from the sale will go to charity.

It may seem crass to sell an Olympic torch online, but the Olympic organizers are not trouble by the spate of eBay listings for torches.

“The torchers are the torchbearers’ to do what they want with,” the London Olymipic Games committee said in an email. “We hope they find a good home.”
