Dying Bride Owes $13,000
Jessica Vega, the New York bride that faked having terminal cancer in order to get people to fund her wedding and honeymoon has been ordered to repay the money she received.
People who wanted to help the phony bride gave her a total of $13,000.
Vega pleaded guilty last month to forgery and fraud charges.
Her plan unraveled when her husband, Michael O’Connell, decided to admit that his bride had faked her terminal illness.
Aside from having to pay back the money to her nine known victims, she was sentenced to time that she had previously served while in jail.
In addition, Vega has to do 300 hours of jail time and be on probation for five years.
