A graduating class of two may not seem like an accomplishment, but it means something to the two seniors of West Desert High School in Partoun, Utah. Trevor Timm and Austin Lewis were the smallest graduating class in Jaub County and the state of Utah this year.

They were the only two seniors at the ten person school. The school is staffed with one teacher for grades seven through 12.

The rural atmosphere suited the two boys who became best friends over the years. The boys found they could be happy with small town life and commute to a larger city nearby to play sports and meet other people.

Both students waged a friendly competition to see who would win the title of valedictorian.

Lewis won, but both students celebrated at their graduation last Friday. The school will probably have a long line of triumphant but small graduating classes for many years.
