“Cleaning Fairy” Has Been Captured

Unlike most home invasions, this female offender did not enter in hopes of stealing valuable items from the homeowners but instead cleaned.

The 53-year old woman’s name is Susan Warren, and she has been labeled by some as the “cleaning fairy.”
Warren enters unsuspecting homes, cleans, and then leaves a note with her contact information in hopes of receiving compensation for her services.

Though no items were missing, and the homes did look tidy, the homeowners did not like the fact that someone came into their home without their permission.

The “Cleaning Fairy,” is accused of breaking into Sherry Bush’s (PHOTO) home.

“She wrote a note [on a napkin] and left it on the table, saying, ‘$75 I was here to clean,’ and left her name and number,” Bush told WKYC.

Thinking that Warren had come to the wrong house, Bush called her up to straighten things out.

“I think our jaws just dropped to the ground,” Bush said. “I said, ‘What happened, did you get the wrong house?’ She said, ‘No, I do this all the time.’ I said, ‘What do you mean?’ She said, ‘I just stop and clean your house.'”

“She said she was driving down the street and randomly picked our house and cleaned it cause she was desperate for money,” Bush said.

Warner has been arrested and is waiting to be charged for the break-ins.

This apparently is not the first time she has broken into homes for the purpose of cleaning them. Police think this is a frequent behavior of hers.

A previous employer of Warren complained that after she was let go, she still continued showing up without permission to clean the house.
