Is there a Connection Between Canadian Cannibal and Hollywood Sign Murder?
Los Angeles, California – The LAPD does not believe there is any connection between accused killer Luka Magnotta, age 29, and the infamous decapitated and dismembered body of 66-year-old Hervey Medellin who body was discovered scattered in pieces beneath the world famous “Hollywood” sign in January.
Obviously, for Magnotta, better known as the “Canadian Cannibal” for the brutal murder, decapitation, necrophilia abuse, and cannibalizing of Juan Lin from China who was studying in Montreal, Quebec at the time.
As brutal as crime was, the LAPD says the victim in the Hollywood sign murder was dismembered in a very distinct pattern which does not match what Magnotta did.
The LAPD believes the Medellin homicide was the result of a love-triangle and points to suspects none of whom are Magnotta.
Additionally, the LAPD believes the murder was committed in Los Angeles and say there is no proof that Magnotta was even in the city at the time of the murder.
It should be noted that Canadian police are piecing together Magnottas whereabouts at the time of the January slaying and they have yet to confirm his whereabouts during that time.
