Lost Picasso lithograph Found on a Fence

Former Ukrainian Prime Minister, Pavlo Lazarenko, imprisoned in the U.S. for embezzlement had his home broken into two weeks ago. Among the stolen items from his property was a Picasso lithograph titled “Femme au Chignon” (Woman with Bun). The lithograph which is one of fifty such lithographs is worth between $30,000 and $40,000 based on recent sales.

Two weeks ago a large group of teenagers broke into the abandoned home of Lazarenko, partied and took off with what valuables they could leave with including thousands of dollars of silver candlesticks, leather jackets and a computer. A caretaker of the property reported the robbery a day after it happened when he found teens loitering in the backyard.

During his morning hike, Greg Atamaniuk, found the lithorgraph leaning against a fence near the entrance of a hiking trail this past Sunday and turned it in to the police that morning.
