Farting and blaming the dog is something we’ve all done from time-to-time, but one man in Pennsylvania tried to blame his dog for starting a fire.
According to reports, authorities in Cresson Township, Pa. say that’s what 58-year-old John Saparo did.
The western Pennsylvania man who blamed his dog for causing a fire in his apartment last year has been jailed on charges that he set the blaze, instead.
In a court document, authorities said Saparo told a state police fire marshal that “a dog may have started the fire by knocking over one of the fans.”
Saparo is jailed on arson and other charges and is scheduled for a June 20 hearing.
He was arraigned by on-call District Judge Rick Varner of Salix and sent to the Cambria County Prison after failing to post 10 percent of $25,000 bond.
