Man Gets Drunk In Norway, Wakes Up In Sweden

Man goes to sleep in Norway, wakes up in Sweden

Following a night out in Oslo, Norway a drunken man woke up to find himself outside a train station in Gotherburg, Sweden after taking a nap in his car.

The 50 year old man later spotted his car on the streets of Gothenburg and alerted police leading to the arrest of the two female car thieves.

The unnamed man had spent the previous night on the town in Oslo and decided he should sleep in his car because he was too drunk to drive; at some point during the night the two women stole the car and drove over the border to neighboring Sweden. Details are hazy, but upon entering the city of Gothenburg the male owner of the car was pushed out of the car outside Gothernburg train station.

He told the Goteborgs-Posten newspaper: “I was bloody lucky.”

Swedish police officers cared for the man as they investigated his claims; returning to the train station to take a trip back to Norway the man spotted his car and alerted police. Two females in the car were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and the car returned to its owner who drove back to Norway.

According to Google Maps, the drive from Oslso Norway to Gotherburg, Sweden should take just over 3 hours.
