Man Pleads Guilty to Attacking Darth Vadar’s Wife
Englishman Ikbal Hare, who punched the wife of Darth Vadar last month, pleaded guilty to assault this past Tuesday.
The attack occurred on September 20 when Hare attempted to assault Mark Nokes, the man who changed his name to that of the iconic “Star Wars” character several years ago for charity, after believing that Nokes had an affair with his girlfriend.
Prosecutor Tim Sapwell told a court that when Mr. and Mrs. Vader went to speak to Mr. Hare, a dispute erupted. “There was a scuffle involving the two men and Mrs. Vader tried to get between them. The defendant struck her [Mrs. Vader] but there is evidence that, in fact, he had been trying to hit Darth Vader.” Hare pleaded guilty to the attack and given community service. He also has moved away from Dark Vader.
Mrs. Vadar attempted to break up the fight and received a blow from a wild swing directed at Vadar.
Hare also threw sand in Vadar’s face and threatened Vadar with a brick and knife. He fled the scene and hid from police for two days with his girlfriend before capture.
Hare received a sentence of 18 months probation, 200 hours community service and anger management classes.
Hale has now pleaded guilty as of Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 to charges of assault, disorderly conduct, and possessing a bladed weapon. He must serve 18 months of community service and take an anger management course. Vadar’s wife purportedly suffered no adverse health issues as a result of the attack.
