Homeless Man Used Credit Card To Stay In Hotels For 20 Years

Homeless man confesses to 20 years of living off stolen credit card numbers

A 49-year-old homeless man named Jeffrey Hawkins has just confessed to police that he’s spent the last 20 years of his life traveling around America. There’s nothing unusual about that, but what is unusual is Hawkins did it while using other people’s credit card numbers to stay in some of the most exclusive hotels in the country. Including some of those at Disneyland.

Hawkins was caught by police at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Florida last week after hotel staff called them saying they had had problems with him trespassing there before.

Once arrested, police found stolen credit card numbers, cell phones, credit card authorization slips and a slew of other items that would have helped him steal from hundreds of American credit card holders over the last 20 years.

The arrest must have been a load off Hawkins mind as he immediately confessed to other credit card crimes he’d committed, telling police he was “sick of running”.

Hawkins is currently being held in an Orange County, Florida jail awaiting trial.
