Radio Host From Bolivia Attacked
According to ABC News, a 70 year old radio host was attacked by three masked men on Monday. While on the air the three men charged in with gasoline and guns. One poured the gasoline while the other lit it. The third man fired shots into the air. All three were arrested.
Fernando Vidal uses his radio show to report on the corruptness of the city Yocuiba that borders Argentina. A major drug route runs through the town by a drug cartel. The former mayor uses the radio show to expose corrupt government officials. As of Tuesday he was in serious but stable condition. Burned on his face and arms he tried to stop the masked men. A radio assistant was also burned.
There is no word of the two women he was interviewing about corrupt customs police and their conditions. The police have the three men in custody but none are talking.
