Man Sues Ugly Baby
Jian Feng, a man in China, has won a lawsuit against his wife after she gave birth to an ugly baby. Feng accused his wife of infidelity because he was sure he could not have fathered such an “extremely ugly baby.”
They couple divorced and a lawsuit soon followed. DNA test proved Feng was the father of the unattractive child but Mrs. Feng had forgot to mention the $100,000 worth of plastic surgeries she received before the couple met.
This fact led Feng to win the lawsuit that he filed against his wife on the grounds of false pretenses, for not telling him about the plastic surgery and tricking him into thinking she was beautiful, The Huffington Post reported.
Even though his ex-wife is now very beautiful, the baby, unfortunately, inherited her mother’s pre-surgery face.
The courts sided with Mr. Feng and now his ex-wife is set to pay him $120,000 in damages.
“I married my wife out of love, but as soon as we had our first daughter, we began having marital issues,” he told the Irish Times. “Our daughter was incredibly ugly, to the point where it horrified me.”
In context, the issue here is connected with the amount of cosmetic surgery in China. In fact, just recently several cities in China have begun to regulate surgery on teens. Now parental consent will be required for children receiving cosmetic surgery, like in the United States. With 4 out of 5 women in Korea getting surgery, the huge amount of Chinese women desiring cosmetic surgery, and flocking to Korea to get it, I might add, it is not at all uncommon for women to have had cosmetic surgery. I am sure many Chinese men know that cosmetic surgery in China is hugely popular, certainly since cities are legislating on it! Oh, and by the way, it is possible for attractive parents to produce unattractive children. That’s just the luck of the draw genetically speaking.
