Dmitry Medvedev is vying for a role in the next “Men in Black” movie – or at least displaying a good sense of humor.
The former Russian president, in off camera audio recorded during a television interview, joked about being given top secrete files on aliens after assuming his new role as prime minister, reprots Inquisitr.
Medvedev said that every Russian leader is handed two folders with details of alien visitors who have decided to take up residency on Earth. The joke is based on a long-held rumor that U.S. presidents are also given such secret files upon assuming the office.
When telling a Ren TV journalist about the so-called “secret files,” the Russian prime minister said he could not reveal specifics because “it may cause a panic.”
To further clarify that he was joking, Medvedev made reference to the “Men in Black” films, noting that “more details could be found” in the Barry Sonnenfeld-directed movie franchise.
According to the Telegraph, Medvedev said:
“Along with the briefcase with nuclear codes, the president of the country is given a special ‘top secret’ folder. This folder in its entirety contains information about aliens who visited our planet. Along with this, you are given a report of the absolutely secret special service that exercises control over aliens on the territory of our country … More detailed information on this topic you can get from a well-known movie called ‘Men In Black’ … I will not tell you how many of them are among us because it may cause panic.”
So you think there are Secret Files On Aliens?
