Knicker Thief Caught On Camera

Melbourne, Australia – an unidentified man who has been stealing women’s underwear but specifically only the knickers have been caught – at least on camera.

The man, now referred to as the knicker thief, has been stealing the articles of clothes off the clothesline of women in the area.

According to Yahoo News, One of his regular victims, who the police call Emma, got fed up after losing 30 knickers to the assailant over the past two months. So she privately installed an infra-red camera which has recorded the thief in the act of stealing knickers from her.

“One Saturday I put a whole lot of washing on the line and then went to get it the next day and gone. Just the knickers, that was it and then there was the realisation…it was a horrible feeling,” she told Seven News.

“Literally that night, the following Friday when we set it up, he came back and we caught him,” she said.

Police have now made the video available to the public in an effort to catch the man. The act of stealing private belongs of a person is usually an act of sexual deviancy that can leave victims feeling “violated” and indeed that’s been the case with Emma.

Hopefully the thief can be found and face criminal charges along with treatment for his disorder before it becomes anything worse.

Police says they are looking for a Caucasian man in his mid-30s, with a medium build and short brown hair which is thinning on top.

He was wearing a light-coloured hooded top and jeans.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
