Trends come and trends go. Sometimes trends can have a positive beneficial affect while other trends can be nothing but detrimental.
Trends, like a roller coaster, take you up, down and around and by rides end leave some pleased and others sick to their stomachs. A recent trend sweeping the nation is “SWATting”.
Various hollywood celebs have recently become victims of the swatting trend where prank callers call 911 to report a false claim of an emergency situation in progress at the homes of select celebrities.
The most recent victim of swatting is the one-time smut film superstar Paris Hilton. On Saturday March 23, Paris became next famous person to make headlines in this swatting craze when police responded to a call around 5:22 pm. The caller claimed there was a break in at the star’s Los Angeles home but when police arrived on the scene there was no trouble.
Paris, who wasn’t home, went on twitter to explain she was partying in Miami. A fun fact about this recent swatting trend is that it’s only happening to people in a specific tax bracket.
Other Swatting victims include Tom Cruise, Chris Brown, Ashton Kutcher and Justin Bieber.
