Buckwild Star Dies: Investigation Underway

Rising MTV Star Found Dead

Early Monday morning, MTV star, Shain Gandee was found dead along with two other victims in West Virginia. Gandee, who bore the affectionate nickname, Gandee Candy, was last seen early Sunday morning leaving a local bar with his uncle, David Gandee.

According to Kanawha County Commissioner Kent Carper, the body of Gandee’s 48-year-old uncle, David Gandee, was also recovered, local CBS affiliate WOWK-TV reports. The identity of the third body has not been released.

According to the Washington Post, the three victims were found off road in a vehicle belonging to the family. No information has been released yet as to the nature of their deaths.

The twenty-one year old star of MTV’s reality series “Buck Wild” was looking forward to the show’s second season.

The series showcased the rowdy, country lifestyle of a group of young people in West Virginia.

The first season had been very successful, pulling in an estimated 3 million viewers. Fans still have many questions as to how Shain died, but one thing is not in question: this young reality star will be greatly missed.

“We are shocked and saddened by the terrible news about Shain Gandee, and those involved in this tragic incident. We are waiting for more information but at this time, our main concern is for the Gandee family and their friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. Shain had a magnetic personality, with a passion for life that touched everyone he met and we will miss him dearly.”
